Being able to laugh at ourselves and the situations that we get into is a great stress reliever and coping skill. We all face challenges and demands that are difficult and we all make mistakes. It is wise not to allow those problems to derail us, but to see humor in them. Model this behavior by practicing this habit yourself. When we have a sense of humor, we can find humor in ourselves, others, and the situations we encounter in our lives. Developing that ability can help your child become more resilient, flexible, and better able to navigate difficult or potentially disappointing or embarrassing situations. We are stronger when we can find a way to laugh throughout challenges rather than giving up!
