Discovering new things through adventure creates wonder and helps our kids expand their horizons. It’s important for your child to be able to stretch himself intellectually, spiritually, socially, or emotionally, but sometimes physical adventure takes more courage. Something that often keeps people from trying new adventures is fear. Our children must learn to tackle their fears and anxieties. Because the biggest obstacle to trying is often fear, talk about ways your child can overcome this. Share a personal experience of a time when you overcame fear and doubt and did something amazing.
