Your Path to Effortless Sex Ed Talks

Making It Easy to Start the Sex Talks with Your Kids

Imagine having the ‘birds and bees’ discussions with your kids feeling as relaxed and natural as chatting about the weather.

No more awkward moments! No more uncertainty!

Dina Alexander, MS

Dear Fellow Parent,

I know that talking to your kids about sex can be seriously scary.

If that’s how you feel, you’re not alone. And, I understand. I really do.
Talking about sex isn’t exactly a walk in the park for most of us!
If you’re unsure about how to even start these conversations…

If you’re not sure what to talk about next…

If you’re seeing some strange behavior or conversations from your kids…

Then you’re in the right place.

For the past 10 years, I’ve been helping parents just like you get comfortable and prepared with the right words for these discussions.

And on this page, I’m going to show you exactly how you can gain the confidence and know-how to have these crucial discussions with your kids.

What Your Kids Are Really Being Exposed To

Right now, our kids are being told what sex is by some of the most unreliable and unhealthy voices out there. Whether they are on the school bus or accidentally stumbling upon p*rn online, they are seeing creepy and damaging messages.

I’m not just saying that our kids are being exposed to some silly nude photos or videos of unusual sex. The messages they are getting from hyper-sexualized media and online p*rn are vile and destructive! With deviancy like rape and incest being celebrated on 99% of porn sites and readily available to kids of all ages online.

And what does this exposure to violent sexual imagery that is totally devoid of intimacy or meaning do to our kids?

Our kids are being taught that selfish, narcissistic, and sometimes abusive sex is the”hottest,” most amazing sex out there.

"Unfortunately, pornography has become the de facto sex education instrument for millions of youth today. Pornography’s messages of exploitation and aggression are priming the sexual templates and writing sexual scripts for these youth. Rather than developing their own sexual templates, boys learn to coerce and objectify females, and girls learn to play this role."

Donald L. Hilton Jr., MD,
Neurosurgeon, Prominent Activist in the Anti-Exploitation Movement

That’s why they need YOU to have these important conversations with them! Your children need to hear what sex, intimacy, and relationships are all about from a trusted, caring adult (YOU).

But, naturally, you may not feel ready.
That’s where I come in!

We’ve Made it Easy to Start One of the Most Important Conversations You’ll Ever Have with Your Kids

When I first started my company, Educate and Empower Kids, I talked with dozens and dozens of parents who all had the same thing in common when it came to educating their kids about healthy sexuality.

They were scared.

Scared of what porn was teaching their kids, but also scared to open their mouths and start talking.

They were scared to say the wrong thing or scared to say too much.

There were even those who were frightened they were going to “give their kids ideas” or steal their child’s innocence.

That’s when I realized how different I was.

I wasn’t scared.

I had researched and prepared and was ready and able to talk about pretty much anything when it came to sex or porn or predators, or LGBTQ topics, etc.

Right then, I knew I wanted to help as many parents as I could to have these vital conversations with their kids! I wanted them to have the confidence I had, and more importantly, I wanted them to have the close, deeply connected relationships that I had with my kids.

They were missing out on something AMAZING!! They didn’t realize that by avoiding these discussions, they were actually pushing their kids away.

Little by little, they were creating walls around uncomfortable topics.

They were, in effect, “telling” their kids, “We don’t talk about these things, and you can’t depend on me to deal with uncomfortable things with you.”

Ouch!

That is a harsh and damaging message to send your kids. But parents do it all the time!

It Doesn’t Have to Be Like This!

Being a parent IS the single hardest job on the planet, and being faced with one of the most important discussions you’ll ever have with your kids can be daunting and downright frightening. Maybe your parents never explained anything to do with sex with you. Maybe you don’t think you’re emotionally healthy enough to talk about these topics. Maybe you’re afraid of taking away from your child’s innocence by starting these talks too young. Maybe you’re a single parent who can’t get on the same page with your ex but know it’s important to start talking. Maybe you live in a state where the power of parents is being stripped away, especially when it comes to anything to do with sex, gender, or sexual identification. Maybe you live in a community that wants to teach “abstinence-only” sex ed to kids. Maybe you’ve had negative experiences or serious sexual trauma in your life.

Whoever you are and whatever you have been through,
I’m here to help you!

I understand your situation and have experience with many of these. With my 10+ years of experience as a sex educator and 25 years of experience as a parent, I have helped thousands of parents begin this journey.  And I’ve put together a special video series just for you. Yes, the Sex Talks Really Can Be Painless AND Meaningful

“Talking about sex, body image, self-esteem, pornography, and other ‘difficult’ topics was never talked about in my home growing up. But I have always wanted to have more open conversations about these ‘difficult’ topics with my kids. I have 5 kids and it can be overwhelming when thinking about what to talk about and how to talk about it with each of them. Dina does an amazing job at helping make these conversations natural and easy for both my boys and girls! I’ve been able to have natural conversations, versus let’s sit down and have a talk. I highly recommend them!”

Our Kids are Living in a Different World than You Grew Up in
They have questions! It’s Time to start answering–before they ask.

Please know, if you don’t teach your kids about sex, someone else will.

Now is the time, whether your kids are 5 or 15. Whether you think your kids are too young or that you waited too long to start. If you have a child living at home with you, it is the right time to start answering their questions and have open conversations about these important topics!

Remember, NO ONE loves or knows your kids as well as you do!

That’s why YOU are the right person to start and continue these conversations.
You know and love your kids more than anyone on the planet and THIS makes you the perfect person to start and continue these essential conversations.

Having a healthy understanding of sex, one’s own sexuality, intimacy, and relationships is crucial to their future happiness. With this understanding, your child will avoid much of the angst, self-consciousness, and confusion that so many kids are experiencing today.

As you become the first, best source of information for them about anatomy, puberty, the mechanics of sex, sexual identity, and more, your child will be empowered with practical knowledge and will be ready to move on to deeper topics.

Growing closer together. I’m serious.

The feedback we have repeatedly gotten over the years is that these talks actually strengthen family bonds as you show your children that you’re open, informed, and ready to discuss anything.

When you begin and continue impactful conversations like the mechanics of sex, building healthy relationships, unhealthy media messages about sex, pornography, predators, etc. you are taking down the walls that many families put around these subjects.

Instead of “telling” your kids that “we don’t talk about that” you are telling your kids “I am a thoughtful and safe person to talk to about tough topics or ANYTHING you may want to talk about.”

I am not exaggerating when I tell you that you will bring a whole new level to your relationship with your kids! A deeper level that brings trust and closeness. Your kids will learn that they can talk to you about their worries, their fears, their hopes, and their dreams.

And that is the best feeling in the whole world! Start these conversations today and build a solid foundation for closer relationships.

Warm Regards,
